The "antique" calendar was forgotten by historians for quite a long time, but it eventually comes out of the shadow cast over it by Meton, who as a Greek has always been favoured by the litterate.
The astronomical reference points are nowadays so acute that they enable us to know exactly, and undoubtedly, when Jesus did live. This gives his life a peculiar aura, since one cannot but remark that his public life happened during a sabbatical then a jubilee year, before he entered into the Passion.
This study also enlightens the mysteries of the rabbinic arithmetics concerning the Creation of the World Era and that of the second Temple period.
Finally, we try and explain how the Essenian Calendar functions, which has never been done to this day.
